“HANDS ON” EDUCATION IN THE HEART
OF THE BLACKSTONE VALLEY

This special Tour is offered every Tuesday and Thursday
From March 27 through June 16
$4.00 per student

The Rhode Island Historical Society’s Museum of Work & Culture is offering a novel way to experience the Valley. Start your day with a guided tour of the Museum and customize the rest of your experience by choosing any of the following options:

  • Museum Living History Presentation
    (no extra charge)

  • Farm to Factory Experience. Visit to Wright’s Dairy Farm, North Smithfield, RI. Includes a cookie from their bakery and a fresh glass of milk for every student. ($2 extra per student

  • Riverboat tour on board the Blackstone Valley Explorer, starts May 1st. Departs Central Falls Landing, Central Falls, RI. ($5 extra per student, minimum 25)

  • Outdoor walk through historic downtown area accompanied by a National Park Service Ranger or volunteer. (no extra charge)

A $25 deposit is required. Deposit is transferable but not refundable.

A minimum of 20 students is required for this special offer.

Duration: Approximately 3 hours
(Plan additional time for river boat tour)

Plan on bringing a bag lunch.
Picnic tables available at
River Island Park behind the Museum.

Be sure to visit the Museum Store.
